Waconia 2011 SUMMER WEAR FOR SALE:
To commemorate the RUPP event, summer-themed t-shirts and sweatshirts are being sold at the summer shows. We will be at the Hutchinson, Princeton and Hay Days events. Look for our display near the vintage sled displays.
T-shirts are $15 and sweatshirts are $25. Sorry, show sales only. We don’t have the capability for shipping.

- AAEN PERFORMANCE GRUDGE DRAG RACES: For 2011, we will continue the Saturday Grudge Race program offering "a line up against your buddy" drag race. We of course will keep our regular drag race program on Sunday for those a little more serious but we wanted to offer another event for the guys that just want to have some fun and maybe win a little braggin rights. Our goal with this event is to just have fun. We will charge a $5 tech fee (trying to insure sleds appear safe to race) per sled and then you can make as many runs as you have buddys to challenge. You can run that 372 Panther against your buddys 399 Olympic or maybe its your "Z" against your buddys SRX. Its all for fun and braggin rights. We will require working tether switches to race. Its gonna be fun and its gonna be cheap. Gotta like that.
Thanks to Olav Aaen for being the advertiser for this event. Also, Aaen Performance will donate a set of their vintage tuned pipes for our silent auction. The winning bidder can have their choice of pipes from Aaen's extensive selection
- 2010 Posters still available for sale:
Many sledders missed out on our 2010 John Deere themed "Official Waconia" Show Posters with Limited Edition Artwork by World Famous Snowmobile Artist Kevin Lehse.
These posters will be for sale at summer 2010 events such as St. Germain, Milbank, Princeton and Hay Days. Look for us at the vintage sled display area.
These posters are 18'' x 24" professionally printed on poster paper, suitable for framing. Only $ 5.00 each.
- A special RUPP is being rebuilt to be auctioned off at the Saturday night banquet. It's official --- a 1972 Rupp NITRO is undergoing a major overhaul. Contact Rick Weaver @ 507-533-8803 to donate parts or labor, all to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Good luck in your restoration project. Keep up with this special build. The Waconia Committee is honored that you would showcase and auction off your special build at Waconia 2011.
The live auction will take place in the Ballroom, immediately following the banquet meal, approximately 8:00 pm. You do not need to attend the Banquet to be present at the live auction, but we do ask that you wait until 8:00 pm to enter the Ballroom. This gives the paid Banquet guests time to finish their meal. At 8:00 pm, doors will open to all who wish to bid on this beautiful machine.

- Rupp dignitaries will attend. We are talking to several manufacturer reps, racers and mechanics and have invited them to attend both days. We will put together an informative program of speakers for the Saturday night banquet. They will be available for the autograph session as well. Visit this website often for updates as we receive commitments from these people.

- FREE SWAPPING ON SUNDAY: We want to promote sons & daughters choosing a sled to rebuild and show up next year on our trail ride. We are offering FREE swapping spaces on Sunday.
- Park your trailer on Friday afternoon: Participants, vendors and pre-registered swappers will be allowed to park their trailers at the event site, Friday between 1:00 pm and dusk. This will allow faster set-up on Saturday and ease the parking burden at local hotels. We assume no liability. Trailers are parked at the owner’s risk.

RUPP THEMED PARTY ON FRIDAY NIGHT:
Because many Rupp fans and other out-of-town guests wish to meet up on Friday night. This gathering will be at the nearby Island View. 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. --- cash bar – open to anyone. Vintage films will be shown. Thanks to Lee Fredrickson and Classic Muscle Sleds for official sponsorship.

Are you curious about ANTIQUE snowmobiles? Well, Waconia 2011 will host the winter meeting of the ANTIQUE SNOWMOBILE CLUB OF AMERICA. These are snowmobiles 1968 and older. You might see a "snow machine" from the middle 1950's. In fact, these guys run their machines. See them compete in drag, oval and even backwards racing! Come and enjoy the pioneers of our sport.

No registration or trail stickers needed to attend our event. Because we have a special permit for our event, your vintage or antique machine does not need a Minnesota registration or trail sticker on the grounds, on the trail ride or for the lake events.
