Even if you never have judged please consider it. If you have helped in the past or are one that enjoy's helping out every year. WE NEED YOU! Judging is a big part of the show and your participation helps us out greatly.
- Judging is done in teams, so you will not be alone.
- There is a judging advisory team, in case you have technical questions
- Written guidelines area available that describe the criteria and rules for survivor, original, restored and custom classes

Many Scorpion & Brut racers, mechanics, technical and managerial staff are anxious to attend and see the appreciative & dedicated sledheads who will be at Waconia. Return often to learn who will attend as we firm up with these dignitaries:
On Sunday at 1:00 p.m., be prepared to cover your ears! The traditional loud snowmobile contest (see events page) now has a category for "tuned pipe" machines. Thanks to Mike Hubinak with West Coast Vintage Sleds for sponsoring this fun event and making these COOL trophies.
If you are a regular at our event, then check out our 2011 invitation letter. It explains some of the enhancements that we have made this year.
NOTE: To enter event grounds, park your enclosed trailer, or set up your swap space on Friday, you must display your weekend or daily admission buttons. You will be checked at the entrance to the grounds and we will have officers checking for buttons throughout the day.
Again this year, we will be parking trailers on the lake starting on Friday afternoon. With this option, out of town visitors do not have to tow their trailers around town, to the hotel, to the restaurant or to the Mall of America. For those arriving on Friday (noon to dusk), please enter the main gate, drive past the Ballroom and down onto the lake. Remember to lock your trailer when you leave for your hotel and a night out on the town.
The "ice breaker" reception will be Friday night from 7:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Expect to see a few Scorpion & Brut VIP guests in attendance. Don't forget to sign the guest book.
For 2012, we have changed the admission structure. For those of you that pre-register, you will receive an all-weekend pass for $ 20.
(You will save $ 5 by pre-registering, and receive two admission buttons, plus a commemorative event dash plaque)
For 2012, the the ice drags will be a part of a series --- the Midwest Vintage Drag Race Series. See their website. 5 events, 5 races. Waconia will be their second series event.
Waconia is pleased to welcome back --- Sunday oval racing on ice.
We are proud to have teamed up with the Oval Racers Alliance.
The hot racing venue will heat up the ice on Sunday afternoon.
Be aware that the ticket price for the Saturday evenings Banquet has been increased to $ 25.00 The Ballroom is under new management and we are having to pass along a rate hike. Still good value, what with a great meal, featured brand speakers and program, live auction and charity build auction all included.
