With profound sadness we report on the passing of Jack Speckel today. Jack was a longtime Committee member of the Waconia Ride-In. He coordinated the vintage displays at the Princeton and Hay Days summer shows. On event weekend, he led the popular Saturday morning Trail Ride. Indeed, the trail ride was recently re-named the Jack Speckel Trail Ride. Just two weekends ago, another committee member drove his heated side-by-side vehicle to the Waconia nursing home and delivered Jack to the start of the trail ride, and he witnessed 682 pass by. Later, Jack put on the event sweatshirt and visited inside the Ballroom.
Today in heaven the trails are smooth and the snow purple covered in his honor!
